We conducted communication and anti-mobbing workshops for senior management and team leaders

19.07.2025

A manufacturing company was experiencing communication issues, particularly at board and director level. On one hand, communication was very open — employees had known each other for many years, were on informal, friendly terms, and regularly discussed personal matters.

On the other hand, this communication style was at odds with the experience of newer employees joining the organisation. They felt the company was divided between the ‘old guard’ and the ‘newcomers,’ experienced discomfort, and raised these concerns with the HR team.

The HR team was also concerned that employees might begin filing complaints about their managers’ conduct — that informal expressions could be perceived as inappropriate, potentially exposing the company to liability. The company also wanted to move away from its ‘outdated’ image and begin implementing modern employer branding practices.

The HR team approached us for assistance in organising company-wide workshops and establishing positive practices going forward.

What we did?

  1. We organised workshops for senior management focused on workplace communication and anti-mobbing measures.
  2. We conducted online training sessions for all employees. Dividing the sessions into separate groups allowed employees to candidly share what they found problematic about managers’ communication styles — and what they felt should be retained.
  3. We recommended further HR actions aimed at building a positive employer brand.
