A company parting ways with an employee after maternity leave. What is permissible and what should be avoided?

On one hand, employees returning from maternity leave have strong protection against dismissal. On the other hand, much has changed in the company during those several months of absence. Often, both the employer and the returning mother wish to part ways. How can these interests be aligned to reach a compromise? During the meeting for PSZK, I answer the following questions:
